Donations have been an essential part of the survival of the Monarch Trail.  We thank everyone for their support and enthusiasm for the preservation of this natural area.

The Monarch Trail is a 501c-3 umbrella’d by the Park People. Your donations go toward public awareness of this site from flyers, posters, kiosk materials, trail signs, road flags, proposal printings, events goods and rentals.

Announcement:

The County Grounds Coalition with the help of the National Trust for Historic Preservation are in the process of negotiating the acquisition or use of the north Eschweiler buildings to create an environmental education center, visitors center, café, etc.  This concept would benefit all the different ideals being developed for this site and would be open to the public so we can access the habitat and monarch migration roost sites.

A $10,000 dollar match grant will be applied for and I will continue to plan fund raising events in order to provide the match.  This will pay for the feasibility study and initial design concepts for the building.

I encourage those who have experience in events planning and project planning to call to talk about possible venues, and ideas for such fund raisers.
